The Devil Is In The Detail: Matt Hunt’s New Ford Bronco

Published April 28, 2017 by Kahn Media

IMG_20170310_220128_931Matt Hunt has built a career on innovation, having built one of the first 1,000hp Toyota Supra street cars back in the 90’s. Matt was also the first guy to put a full-body Supra in the 10s when the Battle of the Imports programs were going on, so he is no stranger to power and performance. Over time, Matt noticed that as the import scene faded, the American muscle car culture was stronger than ever which led him to evolve his company from Under Pressure to Matt Hunt Muscle Cars (MHMC). Now he is building amazing street machines for members of the NFL, UFC and others. Read the rest of this entry →

Hedman LS Swap Nova

Have you ever dreamed of dropping modern V8 power into your old school muscle car? How about dropping a supercharged LS3 into a 1972 Nova? You may have thought about it, but Norm Brown took the bull by the horns and made it happen. This Nova underwent a serious transformation to become the mean 72 muscle machine that you see here. With the help of Hedman Husler LS-swap headers and engine mounts Norm gave his Nova one heck of a heart transplant.“Those headers don’t hit the steering box, and those mounts bolt right up to the Nova sub-frame,” Norm explains. Thanks to the superb fitment of the Hedman parts the swap was painless for Norm and his ride.  Follow the jump to read more about this awesome build and to see how it all turned out.

The second race of the National Muscle Car Association’s NMCA West series drew hundreds of racers and muscle car fans to the historic Auto Club Raceway in Pomona, CA.  Always the favorite venue of the season, the weekend was packed with full-throttle racing action and more than a few upsets.  The Hedman Hedders Nostalgia Street Car class was once again one of the largest classes of the event, with 41 cars making the grid for the start of elimination racing on Sunday morning.  Though the field was packed with seasoned veterans like Mike Nordahl (who won 3 Wallys in a single event last year), Ron De Hoop, Steve Cox, and Frank Coscarelli, stiff competition and some very determined racers would see many of these icons fall.
